Privacy Policy

Overview

CourtKing helps players create teams, join tournaments, follow live matches, receive notifications, and handle tournament payments and prize payouts. This policy explains the information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

• Account and signup details such as your name, email address, phone number, sign-in identifiers, handle, profile photo, and player level. If you use Sign in with Apple, we use the name Apple provides on first authorization to prefill your profile.
• Team and tournament information such as team names, rosters, invites, registrations, scores, referee assignments, and results.
• Photos you choose to upload for your profile, teams, or tournaments.
• Payment and payout metadata needed to process tournament entry fees and prizes. Stripe processes payment card and bank account details and collects the contact email and phone number used for tournament checkout.
• Device tokens and notification preferences used to send push notifications.
• Venue search text and selected venue details when organizers search for tournament locations.
• Your current location only when an authorized developer explicitly taps “Use my location” on the developer-only map. CourtKing uses it to center the map and calculate nearby-event distances; it is not saved to your CourtKing profile or backend.
• Basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the app.

How We Use Information

• To create and manage your account, profile, teams, and tournament registrations.
• To run live tournament features, including courts, brackets, scores, standings, and referee assignments.
• To process entry fees, organizer payments, and prize payouts.
• To associate a paid tournament signup with an account that later signs in using the same verified email and to contact the payer about that signup.
• To send important app notifications such as invites, check-in reminders, match updates, and referee assignments.
• To keep the service safe, prevent abuse, provide support, and comply with legal obligations.

Service Providers

We use trusted providers to operate CourtKing, including Apple as an identity provider, Clerk for authentication, Convex for app data, Stripe for payments and payouts, Expo and Firebase services for notifications and builds, Google services for venue search and developer-only maps, and Vercel for public web pages. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising tracking in CourtKing. We may share information with service providers, tournament organizers or players where needed for app functionality, or when required by law.

Account Deletion

You can request deletion in the app from Profile, below Sign Out, by tapping Delete account. You can also visit courtking.fun/account-deletion. We remove or anonymize personal profile data and user-scoped app data. Some tournament, payment, payout, fraud prevention, tax, dispute, or legal records may be retained when required.
